The deadlines of some calls for papers are approaching, so I thought I'd bump them up to the top of the blog as a reminder to any interested parties:

• The 2009 Colin Gunton Memorial Essay Prize, on the topic, "Does ecumenical theology have a future?" Deadline: 31 Oct.

• The Philosophical Quarterly Prize Essay Competition, on the topic, "Moral Autonomy." Deadline: 1 Nov.

• The International Journal for the Study of the Christian Church, on the topic "Human Mortality and the Church Triumphant." Deadline (abstract): 30 Oct.
  

• The International Congress on Medieval Studies, conference papers. Deadline (proposals): 15 Sept (that's this coming Tuesday!)
